Eat it up
Denison’s dining halls hosted their annual Thanksgiving dinner last week, just to get everyone in the spirit. Curtis and Huffman welcomed students, faculty, and staff to a traditional “family meal” of unlimited turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.
It was Denison’s first Thanksgiving with Bon Appétit, the college’s new food service provider, in charge, and they pulled out all the stops, dressing 400 pounds of turkey, mashing 400 pounds of potatoes, preparing 200 pounds of sweet potatoes, and cooking 80 pounds of Brussels sprouts. And there were 200-plus pies that made a brief appearance, too.
We’re guessing your holiday dinner won’t be quite that big, but we hope it’s just as grand in its own way.
