We're moving!

We're moving our new stories to Denison.edu, the college's super-sweet mothership. Over time, we'll be moving some of our best past stories from TheDEN over there too. In the meantime, we've made available an archive of all stories here. This archive will be available for a few months before this site is permanently shut down. See you at Denison.edu! - June 2016

In it to win it

Tonight, a lot of us on campus and around the country will be tuning in to America’s Got Talent (NBC: 9 p.m. Eastern/8 p.m. Central). It’s the season’s final round, and Denison grad Tom Cotter ’86 is one of the front-runners to win it all. In the previous six years, no comedian has ever won NBC’s highly rated prime-time talent competition, but judges Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne, and Howard Stern have been saying all along that Tom might have a pretty good shot at changing all that. Interestingly, even though a singer has won the competition in each of the show’s first six seasons, there’s no singer among this year’s six finalists.

So following the show, vote often for Tom Cotter—one of Denison’s own.

Voting is open until 5 a.m. EDT Thursday. The website for voting online (up to 10 times per email address) is nbc.com/agt, and the phone number (up to 10 times for each phone number) is 866-602-4802.

And be sure to show your support on Twitter using the #DU4Cotter hashtag.
