We're moving!

We're moving our new stories to Denison.edu, the college's super-sweet mothership. Over time, we'll be moving some of our best past stories from TheDEN over there too. In the meantime, we've made available an archive of all stories here. This archive will be available for a few months before this site is permanently shut down. See you at Denison.edu! - June 2016

The Hill is alive … with the sound of BRW

Big Red Weekend is here once more. As students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, family, and friends (whew!) descend on Denison to reconnect and reminisce, we thought we’d give you a glimpse of what the weekend has in store:

Behold the Sights
Travel the world with study abroad students at the Off-Campus Study Office’s Terms of Engagement Photography Exhibit; check out Denison Museum’s fall exhibits; or enjoy a good laugh at the Burpee Seedy Alumni Performance.

Entertain Your Ears
Be in the audience as Denison’s favorite men’s and women’s a cappella groups perform; catch a unique all-plastic instrument performance with Plastic Musik; or attend the Department of Music Showcase.

Stretch Your Mind
See how some students and faculty spent their summer at the Summer Research Poster Display; partake in a rousing discussion at “Philosophy Coffee: Democracy and Dialogue;” or explore the night sky in the planetarium.

Expand Your Horizons
Chat with students about where you’ve been since graduation and where you are now at Career Networking; listen as a student panel discusses the benefits of the Denison Internship Program; or learn more about the 10k question and how the Denison community is pioneering a model for student development and social change with the Venture Philanthropy Club.

Get Your Game On
Watch as former Denison athletes are inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Varsity D Induction Reception and Hall of Fame Ceremony; cheer Denison swimmers and divers (both past and present) and their families at the Swimming and Diving Alumni/Family Meet—one of the last meets in Mike Gregory Pool; or show your Big Red spirit as the football team takes on Case Western Reserve on Deeds Field.
