We're moving!

We're moving our new stories to Denison.edu, the college's super-sweet mothership. Over time, we'll be moving some of our best past stories from TheDEN over there too. In the meantime, we've made available an archive of all stories here. This archive will be available for a few months before this site is permanently shut down. See you at Denison.edu! - June 2016

Campus interlude

It’s Spring Break, and there’s a sense of quiet on campus, as though every building, every tree, and every walkway is waiting for the semester to kick back into gear. The skies are a little gray. The air is a bit misty. And most of the students are away from campus.

Some students went home to hang out with their families. Some zipped off to sunny locales. Varsity athletes are competing in contests around the country. Other students are studying off campus over the break, like the geosciences group traveling in San Salvador. And many others have volunteered for service projects, like the Habitat for Humanity trip to Birmingham, Ala.

Next week, the students will be back and College Hill will be abuzz. April’s always like that.

Meanwhile, the campus quietly waits. The trees are being trimmed. There are lovely new benches around the flagpole. And the daffodils are about to bloom.
